We are excited to introduce Roland Merz as the newest member of the McCary Student Center Board! Roland brings a wealth of experience and passion for community engagement, and we are thrilled to have him join our team. Roland serves as a deacon for the University church of Christ where he, Anita (wife), and Kyle (son) attend.

Roland’s leadership and vision will play a key role in continuing to strengthen the McCary Student Center’s mission and impact. We look forward to the valuable contributions he will make as we work together to enhance the student experience.

“McCarthy student center is an icon on the Texas State campus. It is a place of refuge for young men and women where they can feel safe, meet other young people, study and learn about Christ and His will for them. Over the years many Christian marriages have come from the friendships that are made between these young men and women, including our oldest son and daughter-in-law. I am so grateful to have been ask to serve as a member on the Board of Directors because I want to do all I can to help keep McCarty Student  Center around for years to come.”
