This year, 77 people attended the Annual McCarty Honors Banquet held at the McCarty Student Center on October 15th. The guest speaker at this event was former McCarty Student Center Director John Moore of the Dripping Springs Congregation and Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado. Two other past Directors of the McCarty Student Center were also present at this event including Trent Kennedy and Ben Moseley. Each of the twelve members of the “Geriatric Crew” were honored with an engraved hammer for their outstanding work in reconstructing the McCarty Student Center into its modern form. In addition, current McCarty Board President Cliff Caskey was given a special plaque for his dedication to the reconstruction process at the McCarty Student Center over the past eight years.

Recently engaged Lila Moseley, daughter of new Board Member Caleb Moseley, did an excellent job in decorating and helping to orchestrate the event held last month. A video documentary covering the 60-year history of the McCarty Student Center was presented during the event, created by Kirk Fauver of the University Church of Christ and professionally produced and edited by McKenna Miller of the World Video Bible School.
